99 Sounds Bass City

Free for Kontakt...


99Sounds and PatchArena have released Bass City, a free sample library featuring a set of 26 classic analog and FM bass patches which have been multi-sampled from three different hardware synthesizers:
  1. Korg Poly-800.
  2. Korg EX-800.
  3. Yamaha TX81Z.
Bass City contains 399 individual 24-bit WAV samples which form 26 multi-sampled patches in total. The library also contains a set of SFZ and Kontakt 5 instrument patches.

  • 399 audio samples.
  • 24-bit WAV format.
  • 44.1 kHz Stereo.
  • Kontakt 5 support.
  • SFZ format support.
  • 581 MB size on disk.
  • 336 MB download size (RAR archive).

    Will these work with Kontakt player? I didn't see anything mentioned about the player version of Kontakt.

    One way to find out .......worst case is (if it won't work) you only wasted a little time downloading & installing.

    The vast majority of the FREE libraries only work with Full Kontakt.
    It has to do with licensing fees...

    But it's usually specified in the product specifications or system requirements...

    Unfortunately, 99 Sounds doesn't specify whether it works in the player or not...

    They have some free stuff by the soundss of the demos - i've dowloaded a couple of them and can't wait to try them when i get back up and running - thanks for the heads up
