Scanning Arturias synths takes forever

Hi!

Anyone having the same issue as I have. Im not really sure it is an issue really, maybe this is the way its supposed to be with their stuff. When I scan my VST folders all synths etc is scanned with a relatively high rate but not Arturias. I have the latest V Collection or whatever its called and their stuff takes like 30 seconds per synth.

Any ideas? Do you know of something I can do to speed it up?

There is an open issue where some of the VST 3 versions of some components in the Arturia V Collection do NOT work in Sonar X3e.

The workaround for the moment is to remove the VST 3 versions and use the VST 2 versions instead.  This does not affect the sound, by the way.

I also do not know if your current issue is related to the one I point out above - just giving you what is known at the moment.

I have the V Collection as well, LOVE IT, and am also using the above workaround to be able to use all of the components.

Hope that helps,

Are you using the dongle? I think it takes extra time to verify the protection. I've seen this with other products that use the eLicenser.

Im both using the dongle and the VST3-versions. Been having some weird issues. Thanks for the info, will uninstall them and reinstall the VST2 versions. To bad but good there seems to be a fix. The synths are awesome.

There is no sound difference with the VST 2 synths - they just work, and well worth the corrective effort for the moment.

Some of my all-time favorite sounds come out of Modular V, plus it looks really cool.

Hmmm, how do I remove the VST3 versions? Theres no option in the installer not to install VST3 versions. Only choise really is where to put 32bit and 64bit versions of the plugs...

The VST3 version lives in C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3

Just remove the .vst3 file from that directory.

What I do/did is created a directory named C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3-archived and any VST3 that is giving me problems, I move it to that directory.
