Convert 44.1/24 project to 48/24

The project was recorded at the wrong sample rate, what is the best way to do this?

What makes it "wrong"? If you need to deliver 48kHz, you can mix down your 44.1kHz project, then sample rate convert to 48.

    Hi Anderton,
its wrong in the sense AXE FX is set to 48khz and I can't open my 44.1 project with it.
I need each separate track from the old project.

Why not use it as an external FX via your normal audio interface?

    @ John
This is how I've been recording: MOTU UltraLite MKIII Hybrid 48Hz 24bit
    Guitar--> MOTU [firewire]--> DAW (SonarX3e)--> Track Interleave Stereo LR-1--> BUS LR-1 [VST - Amplitube3]--> MAIN OUT
    ASIO Buffer Size 1024
I've used this for years, but not sure how to switch over to FAS + SONARX3e When using AXEUSB, the Sonar Audio engine stops when playing back tracks + I can't open 44.1 projects.

    I tried:
FAS Guitar (front) IN--> FAS (back) Left out--> MOTU firewire--> Sonar X3e
sounded terrible, not sure why. The FAS headphone monitoring sound great, but MOTU headphone monitoring sounds horrid.

It seems kind of clunky to have to set the FAS I/O to Analog (IN 1) to record, then switch to "USB" to reamp. (because SPIDF is in between and makes a hissing sound, and Sonar Audio engine halts.

Clearly i have some settings to line up, just not sure which ones.

As far as I know you will likely have to export all your audio tracks at 48k, then delete the audio in those tracks.
Make sure you're settings for new projects are at 48k and then inport the the exported audio as needed.
Please do this with a backup copy and or use save as to a new name.

There is no difference from 44.1kHz to 48kHz. There is no need to go from 44.1 to 48kHz. Nothing will be gained and youll just waste disk space and time doing it.

he Sonar Audio engine stops when playing back tracks + I can't open 44.1 projects.

If you cannot open 44.1kHz projects or playback without drop-outs, then your sound card is configured wrong. MOTU sound cards can play back at every sample rate from 44.1kHz to 96kHZ (and above)

To change a project sample rate, change the project audio to the desired sample rate. This can be done with a third party tool like r8brain. Then when the project is opened next, the sample rate will be changed.

One technique that doesn't always work is just going into the audio folder and sample-rate converting everything. If there are various non-destructive processes happening in the project, these won't necessarily translate correctly.

@scook & Anderton, ...yea now I remember (i think i posted this same dilemma before!)
    Project Audio Folder

    Thanks!

    Here's what i did.
    Open 44.1 Project> selected the tracks> Export Audio> Source Catagory=Tracks mono> Mix Enables=all Off (64it engine = On)
This worked, except now I cannot seem to get the Track FX to turn off! (I just need the dry signal)
Yes, I can turn off all effects bins in the project, but isn't that what "Mix Enables" = all off should do?

I'll have to try and duplicate, turning off Track FX should indeed turn off Track FX. Meanwhile, you can turn off all the effects bins at once prior to export by typing "E."
