Hi, Terry.  You and your partner are getting along very well, music wise.  I like the direction you've gone in, lately, and this song is my favorite one so far.  The first version seems more in-your-face than the second, especially with the vocals.  Your voice is strong in this, which compliments the terrific guitar playing.  What I'm missing in both versions is more of your fine piano playing.  It's there, but I have to strain to hear it.  Overall, there is a diamond in the rough here, and a few minor tweaks should bring it out.

    All the best,
    Lynn

Version 1 vox are way too low. Piano is a bit too strong.
Version 2 vox are too low.

    All personal tastes for sure.

Have to disagree with my learned friends above - I much prefer the first mix, and the harmony guitar is much nicer than the whammy bar intro on the 2nd version. Vocals and piano sit just right for me, it's a real '70's pop mix, reminiscent of T-Rex. Best song I've heard from you yet Terry.
