Oy! Patch é a palavra errada, utilize a palavra caminho, em vez :)
(The above is Portugese for "Patch is the wrong word, use the word path instead"). I used Google Translate for this, in case anyone needs to do that in the future.
I played some basketball in Brazil, and only learned enough Portugese to talk to the ladies. :)
You keep using the word 'patch' - but the correct word there is 'PATH'.
You reported you cannot set the path for Sonar to find your plugins.
OK - Sonar works great in either 32-bit or 64-bit, so there is no need at all for you to install a 64-bit Sonar, unless you want to. I am just saying that you do not have to do that.
Try the following:
1. Start Sonar
2. Do not load a project - just hit 'ESC' to close the Quick Start dialog box.
3. Click on Utilities, and then click on Cakewalk Plug-in Manager
4. There is a section near the bottom, called VST Configuration, and right under there is a button labelled 'Options' - click this. This will open the Cakewalk VST Scan Paths dialog box.
5. There will be a list of paths displayed there, and some options at the bottom. As I understand it, the path to YOUR plugins is not listed there. IF that is correct, click the 'Add' button, to add the path to your plugins so that Sonar will be able to find them. This will open a dialog box for you to browse to the folder where your plugins are located. Navigate to your plugin folder, and click on it. That will highlight your folder path.
6. Now click OK, and the Cakewalk Plug-in Manager will add your plugin folder path to the list of paths it will search for plugins. Once you click OK, this dialog box will close, and you will be back at the main screen for the Cakewalk Plug-in Manager.
7. Now, click on the button labelled 'Scan VST Plugins', and the Cakewalk Plug-in Manager will scan for new plugins, and will include the new path you just added that points to your plugins.
8. Once that scan finishes, you should be able to see your plugins, by clicking on the left side, on the button for the TYPE of plugin you want to verify is there - such as VST Audio Effects or VST Instruments.
9. Click 'Close' to exit the Cakewalk Plug-in Manager, and return to the main Sonar X3 screen.
Please try the above and post back with your results.
