Orange Micro Terror

Just picked up an Orange Micro Terror on CL for $75 and dayummm!

So far, I only tried my Les Paul through it to a Marshall 1960A loaded with GT-75's but I have three other electrics and two other cabs (one loaded with Vintage 30's and the other with Greenbacks) in line for testing.

In all honesty, I had trouble putting the Les Paul down cause it sounded so good!

This little tube/ss hybrid (tube preamp/solid state power amp) rocks and roars!

I was impressed with it and plan to get one. My only question is the PCC108 cab's speaker, though I suppose it would be easy enough to get a better 8" speaker for it, like the Weber that Dr Z used in the Mini Z.

I guess I'm going to have demo this little Orange micro if I can find one at a GC. Metal is not really my thing, but you can hear that it has great tone from that clip. Have you tried it on a heavy crunch gain setting, that is what I would be interested in, especially if they can be picked up for that price used.

need a mesa 4x12 to get that particular sound,
    but you can tell,
    it has grind to spare.
amazing that such a cheap SS amp can make such a rich grind...

After trying out different speakers, it also sounds incredible through my 2x12 Avatar cab loaded with Vintage 30's and my custom 1x12 cab loaded with a Greenback.
The amp is also very responsive to volume changes on the guitar, easy to get a nice clean sound.
