Workflow: using Melodyne to align to pitches together?

Here's a few snags I've had using melodyne in SONAR and was hoping someone might just tell me I'm doing it wrong :-)

In almost every case, I'm correcting one track to another. Either a vocal double, or a harmony part. With the basic Melodyne included in SONAR it means I have to make two melodyne windows and tab between them. Oddly Melodyne never creates with the same zoom settings even when it's the same region selection, so that slows me down. But also it's a bit of a drag having to flip back and forth between windows. Is there a way to have a "ghost" selection so I can visually see what I'm trying to hit?

Even with snapping turned off, it seems like the blobs like to jump when I'm correcting. In most cases I'm within half a step but it's very hard to get it right, am I missing something there?

Blob selection: it's just plain ole hard to grab blobs sometimes. It seems like the hot zone is quite small. A trick for that?

Using the Alt key when editing will disable the snap.
