How to copy meter settings to another project?

I just read Craig Anderton's post about customizing Sonar's meters (http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3074657) and I have a question: Once I've got my meters set up the way I like, is there any way of copying those settings to another project? If not, it will be really tedious to have to make the same changes to each and every one of my old projects, especially since the mutli-level Meter Options menus that you have to navigate allow you to make only one change at a time.

(I realize that I can set up a project template so that any future projects will have the custom meter settings, but what I would really like to do is to use those same settings in several dozen older projects that I'm still working on.)

What you want are 'Project Templates.'  When you get to the point where you like your meters or what ever else, just save it as a project template. Templates!!!

The original poster indicated an awareness of project templates being useful for NEW projects, however, he is trying to find a way to apply those changes to existing projects.

    I don't think it's possible...

Yeah, I know how to set it up for new projects, but I've got about 30 old projects that wouldn't benefit from making a new template.

Given the lack of responses on this, I'm guessing the answer is that there's not an easy way to do what I'm asking.

Adjusting meter settings in Sonar is a total pain in the butt. They provide so many different places to make adjustments that it IS tedious. The other issue is that if you want to change a bunch of meter settings, each one has to be done in sequence. You can't open a window and change more than one setting even though the settings are on the same menu.

I've put in a couple of feature requests around this issue but so far no luck. It's the sort of thing I look for in every update.

    Regards, John

AFAIK per-project settings cannot be copied but could be scripted using 3rd party scripting utilities. So could mass changes to meter settings.

I wonder if screensets might help transfer meter settings?

Unfortunately screensets only do layouts, not preferences. I tried what you suggested because it seemed plausible, but it doesn't work.
