*FIXED* Speaking of webdesign... has the text here changed for anyone else?

I don't know if I borked something up on my computer but as soon as I allow googleapis here (which is required to comment which is annoying enough as it is) all the comment text changes to a different font. It is very distracting.

No likey.

Thanks. I must have knocked something loose when I was trying to get another site to work... which I will grumble about now.

There is a a grocery chain up here in Canuckerland that usually has the best prices around and lots of good specials to keep my freezer full. Considering I'm dead broke it's been kind of a lifeline. They have a website where you can view the weekly flier which WAS great because I don't get a newspaper or their specific flier. It's kind of far away though and I have to set up a ride down there and back so being able to see what's on special let's me know whether the trip is going to be worth it.

Well a week or so ago they redesigned their site and now it is an insane Javascript NIGHTMARE. Before it took me two clicks and allowing the main domain and I could see the flier for my location. Now it is this massive undertaking of allowing a TON of sketchy third party scripts, entering a postal code, navigating around all over the site and even then it doesn't seem to work properly. When it does it's this giant flashy mess of Javascript crud.

Now the thing is I actually live a stones throw away from another grocery store where I do not have to set up a ride. The only problem is/was it's pricier and I can ride the gimpmobile over there when there is snow on the ground. However they seem to be dropping their prices and putting tons of stuff on special every week (whereas the other store seems to be jacking prices and their specials are starting to really suck).

The moral of the story... the "cheap" store is going to lose regular business from me simply because they made their site "better" and more "modern".

Well done corporate derpfarts. Well done.

Oh and I guess it somehow managed to infect how this site is viewed too which is extremely weird. Other sites are unaffected. Going to clear history and reboot to see if I can shake it loose.

Yup. That fixed it. Man, I'm also tempted to call up their corporate headquarters and give them a blast of impotent rage over this or write a letter for the manager of the local shop to let him know his higher ups are potentially costing his franchise money.
