ST3 Install Question ANSWERED

Here's what I did.
Installed the latest version 3.0.2
Authorized; this is tedious when using Offline Authorization, but that's another story.
Installed Sound Content parts 1-8, then ran the Sound Updater.
Auditioned sounds.
Now I have to figure out how to import ST2.5, Miroslav, Moog, etc.

    I believe they are patches.  Always safest to start at the bottom
    and work your way up...

    Yeah you're probably right.
    You would think that kind of information would be in the release notes.
    But alas, all this technology at our finger tips...
    We are all just "beta testers", are we not?
    And I'm not running IK down here; Cake, MS all these a$$holes are the same.
    We "sign" a eula that clearly states "you do NOT own this software, you are merely renting it.
    And oh, by the way, we NO NOT guarantee it will actually work".
    Just sayin'....

    DO AS THEY PLEASE - WE ARE ENTITLED TO NOTHING...

    At least, that's what I was told about IK from the folks here...you got what you paid for so
    shut up...basically...even if it didn't work...even if it was outdated...even if whatever,
    we have no right to hold the company accountable for their product and/or lack of support.

    THEY ARE THE COMPANY - THEY NEED TO MAKE MONEY - SCREW YOU - THEY ARE RIGHT -
    YOU ARE WRONG - NOW SHUT UP. ( Until it affects ME directly - then I WILL have the right to 
    complain - BUT YOU DO NOT )

    Not touching that lol. Um..yeah..just install the patches in order is the safe bet.

    Has anyone tried the Sample tank3 free Piano yet? I'm downloading now - just curious about first impressions.
    I pretty much can't stand Kontakt and I'd like to have a forward path seeing as Independence seems pretty locked up in Magix hands.

    I have not tried the free version yet.  I'm assuming it is one of the pianos included in full version.  I find most of the pianos in ST3 range from decent to damn good.  The grand piano is growing on me even though i don't like the load time. Most won't go toe to toe with the absolute top of the line dedicated piano plugins for solo use but they do work better in mix right out the box  than most of the pianos I have used.

    Thanks Obi, I'm sure I will.
    Have tech put a mention in the release notes that there is no need to install the older versions.
    Typically the latest version is just that, the latest version; not a patch (read that band-aid).

    That is my one BIG **** with Cake; patch, patch, patch.
    My one BIG **** with IK is the Win download should NOT include the OSX installer!
