Best way to learn autosnap
I've recently had a fair amount of projects, where I need to add drums (MIDI) to tracks given to me from outside my studio, that are basically very close to tempo, but not recorded to a click. Since they are very consistent, slight waver in MIDI drums won't be noticed, but I can just import these audio tracks in, as is. I've tried autosnap almost in every case and pretty much have not been successful. I've watched the videos I could find, and it seems that it should work like a charm.
For some reason, I'm not wrapping my brain around the correct order of functions and really would like to use this feature to the fullest. Jumping in feet first, reading the manual, has not really worked as I'd hoped and wondering what videos might be recommended ...especially for my above situation. The ones I've seen have Brandon in them and Autosnap seems to have moved on and a completely different set of controls.
As a solution, I've usually ended up with project tempos like "89.93" and slice/nudge the tracks as needed every couple bars or so, and that's actually worked pretty good. Autosnap *appears* to be a much better route.... right? tips to learn?
