dxshell_v1.0.4b.zip

I am trying to get Dreamstation DXi to work in Sonar X3 64bit.

I am very experienced, and I have followed the readme.txt instructions for dxshell_v1.0.4b.zip, very slowly and carefully, but something in the instructions must must be missing or presumed, because I am not getting my DXi to show up in Forte or Sonar.

For example, I am not sure whether to copy the dxishell.x64.dll or the dxishell.dll into my vst folder. I have tried both.

How is it supposed to work? Does the DXi show up as a VST in the host? Or does "wrapper" app show up in the list of insertable VSTs?

Can a successful user please venture a guess on why an experienced person would be left baffled?

That 'shell' program, as far as I know, is not a guarantee that a particular DXi module will actually work in a 64-bit environment - some work, and some do not.

I am not aware of anyone who has gotten Dreamstation to work in 64-bit Sonar, or anywhere else.
