    I'm having a look at this now. It's a SynthEdit creation, so 32-bit Windows only. That's not necessarily a deal-killer, though, if it does something cool. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear to.
     
    The best I was able to achieve was getting it to not sound awful. But I may not have been trying it on the right material.
     
    What it does: it applies complementary resonant shelf filters to the left and right channels. Here, the two filters are set to 200 Hz:
     

    If this looks like it might not be a very pleasing effect, you're right. But I suppose it could be under the right circumstances.
