Olympus LS12 digital recorder wave files won't import to Sonar

I changed the wave file to an mp3 file, and Sonar imported it.   But Sonar won't import the wave file itself.   Anybody know how to solve this?
thanks,

If SONAR is not throwing an error, make sure the wave is not imported far down the time line. There will be dots in the track indicating data to the right, out of sight. If this is the case, de-select "Always Import Broadcast Waves At Their Timestamp" in Preferences > File > Audio Data.

Yeah, I just found this on page 67 of the LS12_LS14_MANUAL_EN.pdf:

Files saved in the PCM (WAV) format
    correspond to BWF (Broadcast Wave
Format), and the date and time that each
file is recorded is added to the file.
