    I use it.

    great for EDM preset playing.

easy to use.  requires a Steinberg dongle, which it comes with when you buy Nexus.

kinda like having a Access Virus without the hardware or the ability to build you own sounds.

ROMpler with limited dials to tweak.

When you youtube the addon pack demos those are the sounds you are getting.  if you like them your set, if you don't like them don't get the addon pack.

What else do you want to know.

I have tried it and decided it wasn't something I'd be interested in. Even if the dongle wasn't a deal-killer, it's too expensive for what it does. It's a ROMpler, as MC notes, with few controls for modifying its sounds. The only way to extend it is to buy add-on libraries, which can get very expensive (over 3 grand!). In fairness, the canned samples are high quality.

It's geared toward me-too EDM, so it'd be a great convenience for somebody who wants to quickly spit out generic arp-heavy electronic dance music. it's not what I'd consider a creative tool. If you're into that style, Komplete would be a better investment for a lot less money.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

I don't own Nexus 2 but I know a number of people who use it and have familiarity with the sounds. If you are trying to emulate current Blllboard hot 100 material from various pop genres, Nexus is a good route to go. Mind you, there is a danger of pumping out cookie cutter material. This is not inevitable.  People have been using the exacts same models of instruments ranging from Steinway Grand Pianos to Nord Lead synths to make vastly different music.  The same holds true for any sound.  Just understand many of the presets on Nexus have been used so heavily in pop music that you may find your music pigeonholed and compared to music you are not actually trying to emulate simply due to the familiarity of the sounds. You may be the type that can transform any preset into something even the original programmer would not recognize, so it is possible you can disregard everything I said.  However if you were looking for a rompler to use presets out the box, this is the risk you run.

I have it, I always loved the sound, but HATE the company.  When I lost my dongle several years ago, I contacted the company and they basically called me a liar and told me to buy another copy if I wanted to use the software that I had already paid for.

So if you do buy it, protect that dongle with your life or you are SOL.  Unlike with ilok, where you can get some insurance with their protection plan (albiet at a price).

Anyway, I just had supporting companies with that poor of customer service and that treat their customers like dirt.
