Toneboosters has been quiet.
I wonder what he's up to? I have never bought anything from Toneboosters, but I've tried out the demo versions a few times and always feel like it's one of the best values out there. The last update was June 9th...I wonder if something new is about to come out.

I have the barricade limiter but I would like to see something new come out. The limiter is the only thing I own from Toneboosters so far.
Purrrfect Audio DAW here. Wow!...

Quite quiet. I'm hoping his next release will be something I suggested to him a few months ago regarding LUFS.

Ha! did I spell it wrong again? It won't be the last time I'm afraid.

I own the whole set. It's not expensive BTW. The tools are very good. I use TB Barricade and TB Reel Bus the most. It is quality stuff by a guy that really cares. The last update was on June 9, 2014.

Jeroen has a day job at Dolby Labs, and Toneboosters is just a sideline. He did release an update to Ferrox this year, and of course there was the well-received tape sim last year. Pretty good output for a part-timer.

Well I bought my first Toneboosters plugins today from a guy on KVR. I got Barricade, Reelbus and the Buscomp. Reelbus is the one I really wanted, but I'm pretty happy to get the other two as well. Another compressor and another limiter?...I should go ahead and get a few more Eqs and reverbs huh?

Reelbus is the only one I own and it it on every project since I got it. Really like this plug in. I have considered Barracade as well.

I remeber buying Reelbus as a stop gap solution until I could spring for the UAD Ampex. Two months or so later I got the Ampex, but Reelbus is still my goto on the master buss!

I have Magnetic II, but wanted something else. Reelbus seems like the best option for a dongle free Tape sim. I believe I read you use the Glue I preset?

Yeah I was talking about ReelBus v2 in the other thread (I only yesterday found out that v3 with the Glue II model among other stuff had come out and haven't had time to try it). Anyway, in v2 i just open the plug with it's default setting, change the 'model' to "Glue Tape" and tone down the noise a lot and maybe 'spectrum' a bit depending on the source and I'm done! Now with v3 I may have to reinvent my approach depending on how much he changed it!

I think ReelBus v3 is much improved ... the Glue Tape II model is my favorite. I suspect you'll be pleasantly surprised. Jeroen is the king of value when it comes to general-purpose plugins. That Track Essentials bundle has got to be one of the best buys in the audio world -- nearly everything in there is top-notch, and the price is insanely low. Cheers, Eddie
