    To me Hendrix is such an obvious reference, such a monument that I don't even list him as an influence. He's HENDRIX. It's a bit like Bach - you don't need to mention him.

    I used to live in Heaton in Newcastle, right around the corner from where Jimi used to stay with Chas Chandler when he was in the city. I used to know Chas's niece. There's a plaque on the wall of the house now.
