Z3TA-2.1 and MIDI Searchback functions

Z3TA is behaving strangely when it comes to MIDI patch/controller search back functions.

1.  Make sure that patch/controller searchback is checked in Sonar's MIDI preferences

2.  Create an instance of Z3TA-2.1 and assign a midi controller to Z3TA, i.e. control 7 for main volume

3.  Create a sequence and at the top of the sequence choose a value of 0 for control 7, which means there will be no volume.

If you begin the sequence from the top, no problem, Z3TA will respond correctly to the controller value.  But if you start the sequence on, say, measure 3, Z3TA will automatically revert to its *saved* patch default, and ignore the controller 7 value at the top of the sequence.  This is not the way MIDI searchback is supposed to behave.  I submitted a problem report a few days ago about this.

Workaround:
If you need a patch or controller change somewhere in the sequence other than at the beginning, place it a beat or two before you want the new value to take place.  For example, say you want to begin the sequence at measure 11.  insert the controller or patch change at measure 10 or measure 10 beat 4, and Z3TA will react to it.

UPDATE:  CW says this behavior is "normal":  If you want to change volume, assign the main volume to Control 11.  Control 11 will respond to Sonar's controller data and will search back as expected.
No issue, user expectation and software operation different.  It's not the only synth that has controller 7 built into the saved patch.
