One of our tunes was recently played on a TV Show.
The show is called "Couples Therapy" with Dr. Jenn on VH1 Network. Funny thing is the track was just an experiment I did with a friend while auditioning some ambient sounds and textures on the keyboard. I never intended to write a song. Just recorded what we came up with and it ends up on the show. I had no idea the track was even picked up until I got the check from BMI. Go figure. Pretty cool though.

Thanks bitflipper. No offense to anyone but I never believed in Taxi's business model. Having to pay a fee to get your tunes out there I mean. With most licensing companies and particularly Audiosparx there are no fees to list your material with them. Audiosparx takes 60% up front on any licenses sold. I know that's a pretty big cut up front but they really work for their contributor's and have several markets to get your songs out there. If you elect to have them as your publisher they also get 50% on all performance royalties via the commercial/broadcast channels. If you choose to be your own publisher then you would get 100% of the performance royalties. As a publisher they make sure the proper cue sheets are filed and a whole lot more. We've been with them for 5+ years and are happy with them. We also like Musicsupervisor, Pump/Getty and a newer company we just started listing with called Flicktrax. We're just glad to get our tunes out there and all for free. Lol...
