Nothing about Nothing

Was just looking thru these posts as always do several times a day. All the hard core advice. All the input.

Convinced in my microcosm that this forum represents the single most critical resource on the web. Open up KRV and others to get the latest, but here's where the highs and lows have been tested and testified by true musicians and veterans.

Love you guys. Please keep it coming.

I am in total agreement.  I don't post much but I do read a lot of posts and I have learned a ton of information from you kind people.

    Thank you very much!

Agreed. This is one of the least-contentious, most consistently on-topic of any forum. Not only here on cakewalk.com but elsewhere too.

A few years ago, it was a ghost town. Tumbleweed Junction. Then Larry came along.

Not to slight the contributions of carl, Glyn Barnes, Eddie TX, yorolpal, Zo, dmbaer, bapu, and the OP himself, but it was the sheer volume of cclarry posts that brought this forum out of its doldrums.

Now, if we can just get him some therapy for his IKM fixation. Maybe the psychologist would give us a two-fer rate and help me get over Waves issues in the same session. yorolpal, sadly, may be beyond help unless the medication starts working.

That clip is from a great locally-produced comedy skit show here in Seattle called Almost Live, and is from the heyday of that program when it was at its best. Here's one of my favorites: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NT6_PXXjU94

Most of the sketches played up local references that don't translate well outside the northwest. Here's an example, a spoof of the "Cops" TV show - Cops on Mercer Island. For those outside Seattle, Mercer Island is the upscale neighborhood where Bill Gates lives. You'll recognize Bill Nye the Science Guy, before he got his own syndicated TV show.

    Y'all a HOOT.  :)

I learn things everyday from cruising through the forums and posts.  I have about a zillion little text files and Word documents I have created, with little tips and tricks and explanations of things, all drawn from post in the Cakewalk forums.

Thanks to all - please don't get too much therapy, Larry, because I would hate for you to figure out how much effort it takes for you to post all of those wonderful deals and such that you bring to our attention.  :)

Yep, this my daily visit to this forum is often a highlight of my day (although perhaps that's a sad commentary on just how unexciting an existence I lead).

Please, CW, don't change a thing.  There's a lot of folks who like this forum just as it is ... and CW has the appreciation of those people, make no mistake.

Bitflipper, I thought Gates lived in Medina?

Bill Sr. lives in Medina. But Junior's current residence is across the lake, on the west side of Mercer Island. If you have a boat, you can have some fun with the security guards by getting too close to his beach.

It was syndicated for a while outside Seattle.  I always got a chuckle out of the Lame List as well (What's Weak This Week).  Kim Thayil of Soundgarden was a part of that segment. http://youtu.be/yCNr9pILRB8
