[SOLVED] X3 / Pyro question.....

So, I have my mix wav which I have converted to mp3 using Pyro 1.5. The resulting mp3 plays fine in WMP and on other devices.
I wanted to extract a section of said mp3 and send it to someone, so I figured that it would be easy enough to import it into the editor section and trim to length. After import, the waveform shows up as you would expect and all looks good. Press play and it plays nothing but white noise. Tried several different audio sources which are all fine elsewhere and same thing happens, so clearly a pyro issue. Only ever used the encoder section before, so it may have always been like this for all I know. Anyone else ever had this or am I doing something wrong ?

Are you saying Pyro is not able to play a wave file?

No, he is saying that Pyro generated MP3 files import to Sonar as white noise.
    Weird.

It won't play the mp3 in question, the export wav from the X3 project or any other it seems. Whatever audio source I import looks exactly as it should, but the output is constant white noise @ -0.5db.

No, I didn't say that at all. It is pyro that wont play them, they work fine everywhere else.

    Try reinstalling Pyro.

Already did that and it made no difference.

I then tried changing the driver mode from WDM to ASIO and it was still the same, so I put it back to WDM now it works. Go Figure ?

Anyway, problem resolved so thanks for responses.

The only other thing I suggest is updating your interface drivers and firmware, and running windows update several times.

Pyro or related code might have a library issue when in an ASIO mode, or your ASIO drivers aren't handling it well...
