Setting up Addictive Drums 2 Separate Outputs
Hi everyone! I have run into some sort of a problem while routing drumkit pieces in AD2. I've read the manual and tips on the forum on this, but it doesn't seem to work properly. So, here's what I do and what I've got: I have a midi drum track imported into a project, and it works just fine with AD2 Synth as a Simple Instrument Track with no separate audio tracks for each piece. Everything is routed to Master in there and sounds ok. When adding AD2 synth into a project I check the following in the Insert Soft Synth Options window: - MIDI Source - Synth Track Folder - All Synth Audio Outputs: Mono So I get 19 tracks inserted automatically. Then in AD2 Synth Properties in Kit section under every kit piece I click the downward arrow icon and choose "Separate Out", and the only tracks out of these 19 that produce any sound are Addictive Drums 2 1 Master: Left (mono) and Addictive Drums 2 1 Master: Right (mono). These two tracks playback just FX2: Delerb and nothing else, the kit itself doesn't make any sound, no kick, no snare, etc. Am I missing something? Maybe there is some option I need to turn on? Hoping for some help

Each of your drums should be set to a valid output on your soundcard, which it should do by default. What outputs are the other tracks set to? What is your audio interface?

Audio interface is M-Audio Fast Track C400. All drums are actually set to an output my other tracks are set to. This kind of thing worked for me for example in Cubase and Ableton, but not here. Also, the volume level indicator thing shows no response on every drum track except for the two: Addictive Drums 2 1 Master: Left (mono) and Master: Right (mono) and the one with midi track itself. As if no routing is taking place at all to those tracks (should be visible on the pic).

It looks like the inputs and outputs in your Sonar tracks are set to the same source and destination. Hard to tell from the screen shot.

Yes you may have to go into the routing page and hit the learn key and it will likely map out all the instruments but you may have to do them separate if that doesn't work.

I see ASIO for ALL as your audio driver remove it. You don't need it or want it. The Fast track should have its own drivers.

Yeah, it's just the screenshot quality, sorry) At each drum inputs are set to Addictive drums 2 Kick, Snare, Hi-hat, etc - they were set automatically. Outputs were all set to Asio4All V2 Multi Out 1. John I see ASIO for ALL as your audio driver remove it. You don't need it or want it. The Fast track should have its own drivers.
True, I've missed that one, thanks. However, have just set it to use my Fast Track drivers, but it's just the same - no sound on separate outputs. But weird, tried Session Drummer - all is clockwork, every output sounds ok, but tracks of AD2 still show no response. Very strange.

Are you running the latest updates? When I first installed AD2, I had the same problem. When clicking on the down arrow under each fader in the mixer portion, select the middle option. The first one is the main which will only give you two outputs. The second is the individual outputs which go directly to your inputs of your tracks. The third is the combination of the two. I didn't like the third option as to me, it sounded weird. Also, double check the routing from the tracks, busses ETC. I think I have a video of this somewhere that I send to XLN. I'll check and if I still have it, I'll post a link. Sorry, the video is gone.
