Well let us know next time you get logged out. It's the expiry of the cookie that is the actual issue if there is any.
You might experience a little turbulence this week of course...

The packet is usually empty before the cookies expire.

I haven't had to sign into the forums for months.

Since everything came back online earlier, I've had to sign in four times.

What I was on about specifically was the little box on the log-in screen that one could check to allow one to stay signed in.

Clear your browser cookies I suggest, And like I say teething issues may happen this week.

Note the checkbox/tickbox is probably irrelevant now and does pretty much nothing. I suspect Cakewalk assigns a cookie from elsewhere as their authentication mechanism has changed. What actually keeps you logged on is a cookie placed on your machine, not that little box you are used to ticking.

I've only signed in once since the forums came back up (note I've only been using IE today)....

I just switched from IE to Safari (on different computers) and it didn't make me log in again.

    Straummy,

After I close chrome browser on two different computers and then open them up again and direct back to forum.cakewalk.com I am still logged in.

FWIW, I'm told a Barista (or Host) has *no* special logon privs.

Probably cookie related. I haven't signed in for ages but have just cleared my cookies in an attempt to rid myself of the dreaded "//". As soon as I done that I had to log in. Closed browser re-opened, no log in required.

I think I may have sussed it.

I have the Coffee House saved as an IE 'Favourite' and that's how I've always accessed it - i.e. I click on 'Favourites' and open the CH in a new tab.

Yesterday, each time I opened the CH I was routed to either the log-in screen or the main Forum menu page. If I landed on the log-in screen, I had to log-in; if the forum menu opened, I didn't.

This morning I happened to notice that the web addresses for the forum pages have changed. I replaced the old 'Favourites' link with the new one and all has been sweetness and light so far.

I don't know whether this was related to my having to sign in a few times, but it hasn't happened at all today.
