Moving away from steam?

So I have x3 PE on steam, I am about to have an hardware upgrade and will be reinstalling everything and starting over. I never got along with the steam installation paths and whatnot ( I dont exclusively use sonar and the paths can be a bit of a PITA when I am working elsewhere) I am wondering if I was to buy a disk set from the Cake webshop would I be able to install from those and use my steam serials to activate it?

Cheers, Greeny.

Don't know, I would call Cake customer support or/and email them and ask them directly.

Steam often seem to use serials from batches issued exclusively to them. As CJ says, talk to Cakewalk customer services and see what they say.

    Sonar Platinum 64bit, Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit, I7 3770K Ivybridge, 16GB Ram, Gigabyte Z77-D3H m/board,
ATI 7750 graphics+ 1GB RAM, 2xIntel 520 series 220GB SSDs, 1 TB Samsung F3 + 1 TB WD HDDs, Seasonic fanless 460W psu, RME Fireface UFX, Focusrite Octopre.
Assorted real synths, guitars, mandolins, diatonic accordions, percussion, fx and other stuff.
