That looks cool,  I love analogue synths.  Any problems running in Sonar?

It runs fine in SONAR.

Hi, I've purchased this vst yesterday, and it is amazing ! you can create some great evolving "modular-type" sounds, and the sound of the oscillators alone is just superb, the FM PD and FR modulations (as described in the first post) and the stack options (several voices with individual tuning) really allows to get a wide range of sounds from one oscillator, and you haven't touched the modulation sources yet !

I post here because I have an issue with this software... I cannot save my own patches... when I click on the save button in Bazille GUI, it opens a new window but I cannot write anything in the text areas, instead, the keys still drive sonar (I have X2 producer) for example if press the space bar, it stars the reading of the project instead of adding a space.

I don't have this problem if I open Bazille in maschine 2.1 software, but on another hand I generally don't have any problem to save my presets with third-party plugins inside Sonar, so the issue is just with Bazille inside Sonar...

I can save my Bazille presets if I use the functions of the vst "container" (at the very top of the vst window), but I really would like to be able to use the build-in save function of Bazlle because you can add some information about the patch.

I use win7 64 bits, and Sonar X2 producer as well as Bazille run in 64bits mode.

It seems to be the case with all U-He Synths even if you give the keyboard over to it.
The work around I have used so far is to cut and paste from a word or text file.

Unless someone has found a better way.

It does not sound good...
I've tried to copy and paste but it was not working because I was using the Ctrl+v keyboard command... I have just tried with a right click in the text area and then chosing "paste" from the pop-up menu, and then I got my text. :)
Thank you for your response :)
But I am afraid the problem comes from Sonar... I really trust U-He

Blame SONAR if you wish, the root of the problem is Windows. Another way to look at the issue is the way some vendors choose to create dialogs. U-he plug-ins create dialogs to save presets which appears to Windows as separate from the plug-in UI. This defeats the "give all keystrokes" option in the plug-in header.

For what it's worth, this is not the only u-he synth for which people have reported this behavior.  I've experienced it with Diva under SONAR.  And it does seem to be limited to happening only with SONAR.

I would expect all the u-he synths work the same way. At least every one I have encountered work the same way. SONAR is a Windows only program relying on the Windows environment to handle a lot of things cross platform programs may do a different way. This is nothing new and unlikely to change until Windows changes the behavior.

scookBlame SONAR if you wish, the root of the problem is Windows.

Hi Scook. Certainly window management is involved here, but you cannot say the problem comes from windows...
As I've said, I don't have this problem with Bazille under Maschine. With Maschine for example, you can "play/stop" your project using the space bar, as in Sonar, but when the "Save" pop-up window of Bazille is open, if you press the spacebar, you get a space character and it has no effect on Maschine Play button, as expected.

So it seems to be possible to use windows functions correctly here, or maybe it is because Maschine is a cross-platform program as you say... I am not a software developper, but are all other daws cross-platform (as Bazille seems not to have this problem anywhere else) ? And so why does Sonar not use the same cross-platform architeture as it seems to be the standard now ? Well, it is not a very serious issue... but, just saying...

Patrice G
 all other daws cross-platform

To my understanding this is the key.  It is true several (not all) DAWs are cross platform applications, SONAR is not one of them. It is a Windows application with no intention of ever being rewritten for Mac. Cross platform applications are not as reliant on Windows.
