I got a new PC keyboard/mouse combo

Long story short:
I have been suffering with lower arm pain after working pretty much day and night at the PC.  I work about 9 hours/day at work and then I come home and catch up on my forums and music.  So too many hours a day are spent using the PC keyboard and mouse.
So I researched and have just started using a Logitech M550 combo.  I got it through Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Wireless-Combo-Mk550-Keyboard/dp/B003VAHYNC
It was $49.99.
Since Monday, I no longer wake up with the soreness on the top of my arms like I did.  I can't believe this new system is so effective.  My hands are angled just slightly and it is making a huge difference in my comfort level.
The keyboard also lets me assign custom functions to a good number of keys and the Zoom works very well.  Both keyboard and mouse share the one USB chip.
So if anyone is having the same issue I WAS, then you should check this out.  I now have it at work and home.

All the best.

Jimmy

    Good for you Jimmy!!!
As much time as we spend at a computer, it's important to have things ergonomic and comfortable. Another important thing to have is a good/comfortable chair........I got one where you can fold the arms up (when I'm playing my guitar) for use at my DAW and it has a very firm/comfy seat/back support.

Whatever it takes to get rid of the pain is primary to me.  I keep missing key strokes while I am learning the new feel but no pain is lovely!

oh, absolutely!  my wife loves hers because it relieves pressure on her wrists, hands and forearms.

It's just me that doesn't like it.

I would have to relearn typing, if I'd buy such a thing -.-
So I rather keep typing on my 20+ year old, perfectly working IBM keyboard ;)

I had one of those Microsoft ergonomic keyboards a few years ago and loved it. Once you get used to the hand positions it's definitely mote comfortable. It forces you to be a more disciplined touch typist as well, because each hand has its set of keys and you can't reach over with the other hand (as I am prone to do with certain letters).

Ultimately though I got a bit OCD about its weird footprint and swapped it for a small laptop sized keyboard (Microsoft Arc). I've been through a few others since then.
