X3 Insert audio track......[Solved.....Scook strikes again!]

Is there a way to make it insert where you want it and not automatically go to the end of the project ? It's always annoyed me that if I want it to be track 3, for example, that I can't just say insert new audio track after track 2. Or maybe I can and I just don't know how to do it ?

Position the cursor in a header track then the new tack will be inserted above the current track.

Position the cursor in a track, the new track will be inserted above it.

Nor sure I follow you there......to insert the track I'm using Insert>audio track so I have to point the cursor at those menu items in order to select what I want to do so how do I leave the cursor on the track ? Sorry if I'm being dumb....

Right-click in a track header in the track view and use the context menu to insert a new track. The context menu track insert also works in the console view inserting new tracks to the left of the current track.

I did not know the answer to this without testing in the app. It is not something I could clearly remember.

In that case, even bigger thanks for going the extra mile.

You are welcome. If often run tests in SONAR before posting. It helps create the illusion that I know what I'm doing.
