Running into a weird VST issue with X3

Hello there, I am running into an issue where when I add a VST to a track (guitar track specifically) the VST doesn't work.

The VST I'm using here is Free Haas. When I add it to my guitar track and enable it, nothing happens. No change. The VST is not working. All other VSTs appear to function on this same track though. I can add this same VST to other channels within my mix and...it works. Why would a VST not work on a certain channel within SONAR? What would cause this to happen? How do I even fix this?

There is not much to go on in this post. Could the problem be the guitar track interleave is mono and the effect wants a stereo track? If so, change the track interleave, found on the track inspector just above "E" in the picture below

Nope. Not the issue. This same VST works on other mono tracks. I even have an older saved mix that I can open in Sonar and it too uses this same VST on a guitar mono track, without issue. I thought it might have something to do with mono/stereo, but...nope. Not the issue sadly.

Then I am stumped. The "Free Haas" plug-in I found on the 'net http://www.vescofx.com/vfxFreeHaas definitely did nothing when the interleave was set to mono with a mono track but worked fine on a mono track with the interleave set to stereo. Maybe I tested the wrong plug-in. Maybe the wrong version of SONAR, I am running 64bit X3e Producer. I was guessing the track was mono with a mono interleave. There is not a lot to go on in the original post.

Yea, I'm trying to gather more info, but to be honest haha...if I had more info I could probably fix the issue or at least see what it is myself. It's really that simple. When I add the plug-in there is no change and no effect. Turning it on/off yields no difference in the meters or via my monitors. I can tell it is not having any effect. Even turning the gain all the way up on the plug-in yields nothing different. It's simply not working. I can click the "On" button in the upper right hand corner and my track will completely mute, but that's the only effect it has.

I'm running that same version of X3 as you are Scook. And that IS the same plug-in I download form the link you provided.

Again, I can add this same VST to other Mono track/channels and it will work, it's just not working on my two guitar tracks. Quite annoying and frustrating. I have no idea how to begin fixing this issue.

I am able to get the track to mute when the effect enabled and the interleave set to stereo, if track is a stereo track recorded on the right channel only.

I was able to get around this...issue....by sending both guitar tracks to a BUS. Guitar Tracks Output --> BUS --> Master. I slapped Free Haas on the BUS and bam, it works. Still no clue as to why it won't work directly on the guitar track itself.

It's a 3rd party plugin and it may be that there's just something buggy from the developers side that doesn't jive with your specific system.  It's not that uncommon.  That'd be my guess why it's not working on the instrument bus.
