PRV - managing track views

I see that others would like the management of which tracks are visible in the PRV view improved.
I've got a few suggestions:
promote viewing a track in the PRV to a button in the Track view.  Currently you need to right click on a clip, select view, select PRV.  If I have multiple tracks selected then control-PRV would put the selected tracks in a PRV window
Someone else suggested multiple PRV views in the Multidock.  This is a great idea.
In PRV promote track selection to a sub view that is always visible.  Use the entire height of the screen so scrolling is not needed.
In PRV be able to filter so that only MIDI tracks are in the list (I'm just seconding this suggestion)

Corrected all occurrences of PVR to PRV for clarity. K

It is possible to have multiple PRV instances in the Multidock. The create more than one instance of the PRV, right-click the existing PRV tab and "Lock Contents"

    Opps, I forgot that.  Thanks.
It would still be good to make is easier to create the view in the first place.

No need to use the editor menu on each clip. Try setting the Track View menu Options > Double-Click > MIDI Clips to "Piano Roll View"

That option was set though I didn't realize it.  Of course it clobbers the first PVR window in the dock so if you have a set of tracks selected you had better do it in a 2nd PVR window.  tricky but workable

    SCOOK: thanks for these suggestions
    they will help my workflow.
Orchestral work is pretty fussy with a lot of tracks.

Anyone has a link to that video of that guy working in the PRV. You know the one where he works unbelievably fast!!

Dave watch that video and see what can be done in the PVR. It really is amazing.
