Logically limit data read during record...

Sometimes, when I'm loop recording a track in the mode that just writes a new layer/lane with each iteration, I can get dropouts when the count of layers gets really high. But it seems to me that since the track is being recorded, the app shouldn't bother reading all 1000 previous takes as I play a new one.

I guess I'm asking whether data read can be more efficient to enable me to do more work at high sample rates without having to dump the stuff out of the project to reduce the amount of data read.

I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.
