Installing Sonar X2a

Hello.  I had to redo my DAW software environment and so need to do a new install of Sonar X2.

Can anyone tell me what all is installed with Sonar.  From memory, the installation includes the Sonar Producer .exe, a folder of Loops and One-Shots, the Dimension Pro .exe, and "Sample Content".

What is in the Sample Content?  Is there anything else that gets installed?

Thanks

Do you not have the original distribution media (discs or downloaded files)?

Hello.  I do have the Install discs, tho' I confess I haven't examine all of them to see what is on them.

I ask this question because a) I don't want to install stuff I don't need (like Artist Demo Projects); and b) I'm trying to plan what installed stuff I will put on which HD in my system.

Thanks scook, for the link.  This is helpful.

Oh, additional question: is it OK to have all plug-ins (32 bit and 64 bit) in the same plug-in folder, or should I make a separate folder for 32 bit plug-ins and another for 64 bit plug-ins?

    Thanks.

As far as the application is concerned, it does not matter where plug-ins are installed as long as the dlls are in the VST scan path. Some plug-ins use the same name for 32bit and 64bit versions which could be an issue.

I thought the installer automatically creates separate folders for 32/64 bit VSTs? (the "x86" addition for 32 bit)

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.

In a 64bit installation the X-Series installs some bundled 32bit plug-ins in the 64bit VSTPlugins folder.

Might want to wait a day or two.   Prices have been going up and down of late, but right now they're up.
