Combined Libraries in Superior Drummer 2

Howdy folks,
I have been trying to figure out if there is a way to combine different libraries in SD2. I have watched the Groove 3 videos and You Tube stuff as well and I still don't know if I can take a snare from one (say, Vintage Rock) and use it when another library is loaded (like Indie Folk).

I've been using SD2 for a few years now and I was wondering if this was possible. Thanks for the help!

The feature you need to look at in SD2 is X-drum. I believe there is a video on the tutorial Toontracks website that explains how to use it.

The X-drum tool is in the upper right hand corner of the construct window.

Thanks, Sid. Yeah, I know about X-drum, I was just hoping I could load multiple libraries and pick and choose components like I can with Addictive, BFD Eco, etc.

I only have the default library, so I've not tried this, but here's what the manual says:

Superior Drummer® supports all current Toontrack sound sets as well as legacy SUPERIOR libraries. You can access ANY instrument from ANY library via a sophisticated system of X-Drums, mixing and matching instruments with no limitation. You can even specify which microphones to use for the external kit pieces!

That tells me you can indeed mix and match instruments, even from EZDrummer libraries, and that the X-Drums section is the gateway for all of that. Page 29 of the manual appears to explain how to do it.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

Thanks Bit. The process is a bit convoluted using the X-drums but it does indeed work. Just thought there was a simpler way to do it.
