Yes! I pre-ordered the same. Padding the order to get that Amazon free shipping and added two old favorites on CD: Black Sabbath, Paranoid. Have them on vinyl. Still a few bucks short of free S/H but I'll find something soon. Poo-poo on Amazon for raising the order minimum.

    Broken pencils are pointless.

I would have paid what I paid for the CD for shipping to get Guitar in the Space Age.
Highly recommend to pickers and those that like a great mix/production.

I love that album cover. I must admit to not being to familiar with Bill Frisell. I know who he is, I just haven't listened to a lot of his stuff. There are so many good players out there.
I went to his soundcloud and heard some clips...I love the way he did Surfer Girl!

I agree. Great cover. There are many good players...but these are great players IMO. There are many cool things about this album but what appeals to me, that may not to others, is that there is nothing about it from the first note to the cover that I don't like.
Everything about it is much like an example of how it should be done and especially like that they are instrumentals and every tune from start to finish showcases all the players.
