Best of All Worlds to All Y'all!

You're more than welcome!

I only got into recording on a computer in 2007 and was torn between several different DAW's, but it was this forum which swung it in Cakewalk's favour.

! quick trawl through the Cubase forum was enough to put me off for life.

Oh yeah, and we're only it it for the money

Best add my tuppence worth.......

This forum IMHO is the ace up CW's sleeve. A real source of knowledge that is there for all. I've learned loads here and am glad to give back where I can.

I'd just like to add that I miss Billy too. We never met, although we did talk about meeting for a drink one day if I ever managed to get to NY or him to the UK.

Sadly that will never happen now but I just know that we'd have got along in 'real' life as well as we did in this virtual one. 'Twas a sad day when I learnt of his passing, that's for sure and a huge loss to the Sonar community. . :-(

Yes. This is my favorite forum. Lots of nice, caring, positive, matured and helpful people. I don't want to be anywhere else. My most sincere thanks and appreciation for everyone in the Forum including Mr Anderton and the CW team.

John
I PM the thread to a few members that were curious about the thread Ba MIDI's letter is in. Its here http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?&m=2644141&mpage=1

It belongs to the forum and if you want to read it is above in the link.

John - I've been away from the forum for a while and was unaware of BA Midi's passing, the eloquent note you penned and most importantly, the love and respect you and the forum showed him.  I just wanted to pass along my thanks and respect to you for taking the effort to go above and beyond in ensuring his family received such a beautifully articulated note expressing condolences on behalf of the forum.  Kudos to you and to all who participated.

It is just one example of how this forum is so far beyond what other forums can only hope to be - a family.

A BIG +1

The reason people say the vinyl sounds better is because the music was better.

This is the only forum that I always WANT to come back to, and don't feel that I HAVE to ...
Special thanks to all who have helped me thru' the years since the DOS days (some no longer with us unfortunately), but especially Greg Hendershott for starting all this up ! (And yes, he gave support over CompuServe !)

Also want to thank the Bakers for listening to us (remember the workflow discussion ?), and finally Mr. Anderton who I met a long time ago when he was touting Keyboard Mag (I subscribed !) at the Frankfurt Musikmesse ... keep hinting man
