X-ray editing windows

I've always liked the whole x-ray thing, but always felt we should also have it when editing something destructive. For example, when quantizing midi, the quantize window usually jumps right in the middle of my midi notes. Sometimes quantize moves my notes in the wrong direction so I always move the quantize box out of the way so I can see which direction the notes move.

Having a see-thru quantize window would be pretty cool and would stop me from having to move the window all the time. This is a really huge help for those that play real instruments via midi. E-Drums for example....sometimes quantize just moves the note(s) the wrong direction. If the window is covering your work area, you have to "undo" to see which way it moved the note. So the trick is to always move the window before you quantize.

I really think any editing window that covers your work area should be see-thru if at all possible. Anyone else see a need for this?
