Sonar X3e: Automation plays 1 bar behind while recording hardware synths

Hardware:
 
Intel i7 quadcore, 24GB RAM, DSI Pro 2, Novation Supernova.
Pro 2 connected directly to PC by USB.
Supernova connected directly to PC by Midi-to-USB cable.
RME Fireface UCX directly connected by USB to PC.
Note that neither of the hardware synths have their MIDI connections through the UCX, it is used only for audio recording and sound output, not for midi connections.
 
This issue has occured both within Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit and after a clean install on Win 8.1 Pro 64bit. It is consistent on both hardware synthesizers and does not occur on soft synths / VSTis with X3e.
 
When creating automation in an Automation Lane, the automation itself plays properly on playback. All CC plays changes exactly where the nodes are placed and changes in time with the envelopes between nodes.
 
However, on recording, all automation to the hardware synths plays 1 bar behind. It occurs on both hardware synths.
 
If, after writing the automation, I want to record the synths and have them play properly, I have to take the midi clip, and move it one bar behind the automation lane, so that the automation plays in the right place while recording. After recording is completed, I have to move the midi clip back to its original location if I want to work on it some more or refine it.
 
A puzzle.

    Appears a similar thread has been in the Sonar forums before. I would suggest bumping/redirecting to the other thread for troubleshooting purposes as a dialogue has already been established (so far nobody has been able to reproduce). If a reproducible bug can be confirmed then it can be passed onto developers here, otherwise this thread might get frozen in a couple of weeks (please consult handbook for further information as to the purpose of these forums).
     
    I'm unable to test this myself sorry :(

    @48/24 & 128 buffers latency is 367 with offset of 38.

    is it the same if you connect the synth midi-to-midi via the fireface?
