Problem with the editor from the Roland Integra 7

Is anyone working with a roland integra 7?

Windows 8.1 x64, Sonar X3e 64-Bit,
The Integra 7 is connected via USB.

I cannot get the vst-Editor from Roland to work within Sonar X3e.
The editor is also used to select the banks and instruments.
The editor does show up, but it does nothing. It reports: "not connected".
No matter what device from the integra 7 I use.
I can record and play it and hear the Sound.
Within Sonar I can change the banks and instruments manually (1 ... 127).
But the Integra 7 has 6.000 Instruments, therefor the Editor is absolutely necessary
There is a third party Editor by an unknown Japanese programmer. This editor works very well. But he is older date and maybe less than the Roland.

Has anyone got the "original" Roland Editor to work? If so - how?

I tried the I7 Editor and never got it to work. Received the same "not connected" message. Ever since I installed the software, it has messed up my instrument settings. I'm waiting to install X4 to hopefully clean things up.

    Thank you.
    (The Editor is 64-Bit only)
Then I will continue to use the third party Editor by an unknown Japanese programmer.

    Hi THambrecht,

I only have SONAR X1d, and the Integra-7 VST editor is VST3, so I can't use it in SONAR. What I do instead is to run it in SAVIHost. With this setup, I don't have any connection problems, just that the editor is very slow. The other editor made by K_Take (the Japanese developer) works too, but can be finicky about certain operations (loading expansion sets, reading user tones, which .NET version is used, etc., at least on my computer).

Both editors are just editors anyway, so I don't see it mandatory to integrate them with SONAR.

I find the editors to be good for changing settings but not that great for changing patches. The long drop-down boxes are not very user friendly. The iPad editor is better for that purpose. So I usually change patches on the hardware panel instead.

One thing I did to Integra-7 when using with SONAR is to disable receiving Program Changes and Volume. I have patches and volume stored in Integra-7 and I do not want SONAR to mess with them. In fact, I save the entire studio set to a file (either editor specific or as .syx), one file per song. The advantage is that the Integra-7 settings are independent of the DAW, and the user tone changes are included in the file as well, that means I don't need to save user tones.

In SONAR, for each MIDI track that corresponds to a part in Integra-7, I set the patch to the corresponding studio set part. I think that option appears after installing the INS file.

    Hope that helps.

You need to make sure that the path which the editor was installed to is part of your vst paths

However, the editor from the chinese programmer is much better than the roland one. You should goggle for it.

If it is a VSTi you need to make sure that the path which the editor was installed to is part of your VST Paths

    This might help:

    Hello,

The left site of how to do it on the page is good but when i start soft synt in a new project i see nexus, kontakt, drum kit, plug in and lay-outs and so on and not Integra! so the right site of the page you send me i don't see.
What do i do wrong, i suppose when i see Integra and click this on as on the exsample it should be good but no.
