Sonar X2a - Edit/Preferences page questions

Hello.  2 questions about the Edit/Preferences page.

1) I get a short and not very loud burst of audio static (a quiet single click, really) through my speakers when closing the Edit/Preferences page.  This occurs whether or not I have actually made changes to the Preferences page.  So I get quick static burst whether I exit the Preferences page using "OK" or "Cancel".  Is this normal behavior?  Can I get Sonar to stop making this static/click when closing the Preferences page?

2) I was making some changes to the Sonar color scheme - I like to have all my audio track foreground color to be the same color for all audio tracks, and to have the midi track foreground colors to be the same color for all midi tracks.  The default color scheme for midi tracks background color shows different colors for each midi tracks, yet in viewing my midi tracks in the Track View, it appears to me that all the midi tracks have the same background color.  This is not a big problem for me because I prefer that all the midi tracks have the same background color.  But I am curious why there appears to be a discrepancy between what is shown in the Preferences/Color page, and what I see in my Track View.

Can anyone help with either of these questions?

Thanks

I have to investigate this a little more.

I noticed that I did not get any static/clicks when I loaded the AudioDemo project in Sonar.  And the project in which I have heard static/clicks has two VST instruments in it: when I deleted those VST instruments from the Synth bank, I no longer heard the static/clicking.

I will report back when I have more information on these audio anomalies.
