Moving Songs up to Sonar X3
I've been creating songs since Music Creator 5 and moved up to MC6, X1, X2, X3, so I have a bunch of stuff done in everything. When I open up the old stuff in X3, the problem is generally that ProChannel doesn't show up. So, a simple question, how do I update my older songs to X3? I've done the old way of hand copying track-by-track into a new X3 project, but that gets old fast. Is there an easier way? Thanks....Steve

If the inspector does not appear in the project the keyboard shortcut "I" should add it to the display.

Sorry if I'm not clear enough about this, but the inspector does show up, but Prochannel is not there. X3 opens up older files like they are being opened up in the older/less functional program, so a lot of things are different, even the buttons on the tracks. Unless it's just my system, but whenever I open an older file on X3, whatever functionality or configuration that was added in X3 doesn't show up. Thanks...Steve

That is weird as it never happend to me and i have migrated to newer versions every year. Maybe you need to save the project and re-open it. I dunno, but its worth a try Cj

I've tried a 'Save as' and a re-open, but that didn't work. I wonder what I'm doing wrong...hmmm.

You probably need to install sonar (all the way) and re-instal, as something major is wrong with yours. what you cannot do is something really basic, so your install is flawed CJ
