Audio Data Folders
I had done a boatload of music using Vegas Pro. So when I moved to Sonar X3 Producer, I simply dragged each song's audio data into sub-directories. D:/Sonar Projects/Song Name/audio
Even though I chose "per folder" under preferences, Cakewalk was copying those files to its own C:/Cakewalk Projects/Audio Data. Weeks go by and I see about 1,000 audio files in that folder, and delete 'em all.
Now, whenever I open up any song, Sonar wants to look in C:/Cakewalk Projects/Audio Data, and I have to select each file from the song's own folder. (The software developers need to make it so that it looks in the same folder for all the files instead of making the user go through the click-and-hunt process for each one.) Sonar also MOVES the same files back to its own Audio Data folder forcing me to copy them back to the song audio folder.
It seems the only way to fix this is to delete each waveform from its track and reinsert it from the song's own audio directory. But does anyone know of an easier way?
I did a search for this, BTW and came up zip.
