Very pretty song. On the studio monitors it sounded full and nice. On the phones it was a bit bright. I like the vocal. I would have made the song a bit shorter. It did seem to drag on for a bit. Who is playing lead guitar? What is "TH for E guitars}. That Anadule song that played is next is hot. Great guitar work!

Thanks for listening evadianepug, yes it drags a bit that is planed for live performance to have a lot where to improvise.I played all guitars and Th for E guitars I meant that I used the softsynth that comes with sonar, TH producer on all electric guitars. The fact that it sound bright on normal hifi worries me a bit ,but it needs professional mastering,I only did some pre mastering. We`ll do that if we`re going to sell millions but that`s not the case for now. That Anadule song was recorded in 1993 with a yamaha 4 track on audio tape remember them? All i loved to do was improvise for hours with some great rythms, those where the times my friend. Peace

Hi malta nice work on this. overall this is a great song with great performances. I'm not fond of having the echo/delay on the vocals all the time. it would do better as a sparse sprinkling, IMO. the mix is lacking on the low end, IMO, and could use some better mix on that respect. it doesn't take mastering to get this done, it just takes learning your mixing environment and/or room treatment or even help from something like ARC. mixing on cans often leads to a higher end mix without as much low end, also. some of the drums could use a little work as well. for example, the triangle(?) at the begining is way too loud compared to the mix and is very different sounding as far as the rest of the drums in terms of "the room" nice performances, good work on the mix so far!

Thanks Beagle for listening.I`m definatley gonna fix that delay. The drums that is a midi pattern through Roland TTS general midi drums,i`m not sure if i`ll work on that if so i use addictive drums to be a bit more realistic, but i will put that triangle lower. When you say the mix is lacking at low end,do you think because i cut too much at around 400hz in the pre mastering process? Peace

I'm thinking the low end I feel is missing is lower than 400, more like between 75 and 250.

I said this already in the other forum but here it is again: "I think it is a very good song. The delay in the very good vocals is a bit disturbing at times. Imho best would be to make it less loud or perhaps use reverb instead. But this is just my preference, probably it does not bother others at all. Excellent singing and playing and the melody is great also. Mix sounds balanced. The singer's voice is also great." kakku

Thanks kakku im gonna take that delay advice and use it only at the end of verses or where is sound proper ,a little automation on the volume of the delay buss will fix it. Thanks again beagle Then it could be the electric bass(dimension pro sound) not sitting well with the kick.. Best is I leave it for a week and listen to it again. Peace

Nice tune. I thought the mix sounded good. Nice aspects to it. The guitar tone and playing was pretty nice.

It could be me but the bass seems to have more "guts" than before. That really helps. Nice bass playing too. The guitars seem a bit bright still (to me) but that bass helps. You're gettin 'er done. Keep going. It's a great tune. In the final analysis, that's why I am here, for the songwriting.

Nice song! Mix-wise the vocals are a bit out front for my tastes, but for a song like this it's probably appropriate. The instrumentation sounds nicely balanced. The only thing that stood out a little to me was the click on the kick drum. TH2 sounds good.
