DrFrederico I still haven't found a button that minimizes/maximizes tracks. Used to be in top right corner, you could expand/minimize with same button. The only way I can make it happen now is dragging it to size. Sometimes when I drag a track to make it bigger, they all get bigger. I've searched through the manual under tracks, can't find anything?
Go to Track View in the help, then under Track View menu, check out Auto Track Zoom. When it's not enabled, the button appears in the upper right for expand/minimize. When it is enabled, you can automatically enlarge any track with the focus while minimizing others, or drag them to the same height. It's very helpful once you get the hang of it.

I can assure you I'm not Australian. I am a cure for insomnia though.

FBB: we are all sure you are the voice of the Geico Gekko. Were you required to use body makeup for the commercials? How did they make you appear smaller that you are?

How do you Aussies manage to function with everything being upside down? I like Karl's voice. It keeps me interested. Some voices put me right to sleep. JB

I do believe FastBikerBoy (Karl) is from the UK. And I know some of you are just joking around. I used to be of the mind that at times even listening to an English foreign accent was not what I wanted. But, FBB's accent is OK with me, now. To be able to get the SWA SONAR X2 video for free, well, that's great!

Well said. FBB is not from the other side of the world (Australia) - He is from Norfolk, which is the other side of reality..

Please don't bring reality in to the conversation, that will spoil everything.

Try "Groove3" for excellent X3 tutorials. They are not free, but they are having a 50% off sale on all their videos this weekend only. Most are $20 $35 so they would cost this weekend only $10-$17 I've learned a lot from their videos and not just about Sonar. Give them a peek.

I can't imagine knocking a quality tutorial that happens to be free over an accent. Karl's videos are well done. Guess you can't please everybody

I'll have you know we live in reality here in Norfolk. We get electricity next week. Just as well with these dark nights, my six fingernails need cutting.

Anderton Interesting you referenced Digital Performer's column in Sound on Sound as a "free" source of tutorials. If you had bothered to look just a tiny bit further, you would have found the equally free SONAR columns that I've been writing for Sound on Sound since 2001: http://www.soundonsound.com/articles/Sonar.php And props to Sound on Sound for being the first publication that immediately understood how important SONAR would be, and made sure they had monthly coverage of it before anyone else.
One of the main reasons I decided to subscribe to Sound on Sound. Your column there is greatly appreciated, as well as your (and others!) help in this wonderful forum... As for SONAR videos, I seem to remember watching a lot of them from various places... I don't remember paying for any of them...
