this is a brand new version.......
the very first version, i had on a VS Planet records compilation.....
this is the best version to date, with new vox, new rhythm guitars, new drums, new acoustics, it's got a lot of cool mix elements going on, as well as some cool ambient stuff and some kick ass performances.
still on the fence about the final mix, but it's real close.

Sounds great Bat! Nice space in the mix, the drum elements are felt as well as heard. Love the guitar work, as usual!

Another great sounding number.  Great guitar playing, the vocals are terrific, and that strong bass really comes through.  Nice one.

    appreciate the comments dan....
drums, yea, the kick is kinda deep...
i was on the fence about that,
wondering if it was too much.
    i like it,
but don't really know if it fully translates (to all playback systems)
most people don't have the big low end on their playback systems,
so i nudged it up (the low end of the kick)

    thanks for listening freddy.....
the bass track was a single track, it's been a while, but i think it was my carvin LB70 straight into a SANSAMP Bass DI

it's really easy, to get an aggressive biting 'ampeg' style sound out of that box,
if i had to settle on only one bass sound to use, to 'tie together' my basic 'band' tone, i'd probably use that...
but i love so many bass tones, and like to use my fingers more than the pick,
but something between the fat motown sound, the 'jaco' sound, and the geddy lee sound, is where "MY' sound is.
i just gotta find it still

i can never remember what i do from song to song,
cuz i never use the same settings or setups!

    LOL
i make it harder than it has to be.

glad you dig that guitar, H...

    me too,
    it's a Taylor 414, that i bought in 2001,
    it's got a huge sound,
that i really have to tame when recording.

    hearing aids.....
    heheh
i'm glad you turned it up.
that's really where the fury of this song lives

i kinda feel like i want the listener to hear it the way i heard it when i was making it....
    which was scary loud.

    thanks for reviewing, kakku....

and yes, i've done a remix, with louder vox.
there are subtle changes i've made to everything,
mostly subtractive eq, that should help vox stand out,
but still not sit on top, which is something i just hate.
    well, maybe not hate..
    but greatly dislike.
    LOL

Yeah, it definitely has a classic rock feel to it.   And being a classic rock fan I like that.

Great stuff...  All of the guitar work is very nice.   I like the short solo too.
