Dracula Untold - movie theme remix

Since it is Halloween I though I'd throw this one out there...   it's my take on some of the music written for the new movie Dracula Untold, where I've added drum kit, synth bass, organ and choir to the original orchestral stems.   And maybe a little re-arranging.

A portion of the original version can be heard on track 2 here: http://www.amazon.com/Dracula-Untold-Original-Picture-Soundtrack/dp/B00O69UEKC to give you a feel for how it started.   There's also a trailer on Talenthouse where the competition lives: https://www.talenthouse.com/i/remix-dracula-untold-for-universal-pictures

And this my remix: https://soundcloud.com/steve-cocchi/dracula-untold-stevec-remix

Edit...  and a link to my Talenthouse submission (same track): https://www.talenthouse.com/i/488/submission/141120/8ad4186d

I don't understand the whole process, I guess.   Do you just add your instruments to an existing track,  It sounds good but repetitive.  This would probably make more sense to me if it was set to a video.  I'm seeing more of these tunes set to video and when they are, songs that sounded repetitive to me made more sense.  That make any sense? It has a nice halloween vibe to it.

That's pretty awesome Steve :-) Very creative additions, I listened to the before and after. Warren, the video is easy, just picture an evil undead monster latching on to you and sucking the life out of you. It's easy to visualize for me, I've been married...

@ Warren - In typical remix fashion they provided stems but in this case they were all orchestral; melodic strings & horns, percussion, bells and plucked strings.  They required that you actually use all of them, with the option of adding other instruments (which I did).  And it was set against film, likely a battle scene or similar (the percussion is what I would call "war drums").    But so long as it sounded somewhat "Halloweeny" I'm good, 'cause that was the idea!

@ Heywood - thanks!   I had a lot of fun doing this, taking a purely orchestral piece and rocking/modernizing it a bit.  Good to know it gave you the proper mental visuals.

It has all the elements of the opening credits/scene setting feel you did good Steve.
