Apparently, cats don't care about that, so I didn't get the extra hour of sleep... :/

It's about time we did away with DST. It was invented to conserve candle wax. I think that crisis has passed now.

I prefer to follow MST (Moonlight Savings Time). The sun had a good run. I think we can let it go now. There's absolutely no reason why our civilization can't convert to a nocturnal society. Most of our teenagers are already there anyway. Think about it. No more sunburns. No more sun glare when driving to and from work. I admit, the sunglasses industry will take a hit, but the corresponding job creations in the night vision goggle industry should make up the difference. I need to write to some politicians...

The freaks come out at night?? The good news (at least for me) on this time change is that I reached my usual tiredness an hour earlier, and ended up getting more sleep last night.

I know right? Does yours come and stand on you at 5 or 6 AM? Mine does. This morning she got on me at 5:00 AM, I usually get up, fix a little food, and she goes out on the porch to eat it. This morning she would not go out. It was like a positive charge trying to catch a negative charge. Crap, too tired for this. I put the food in the kitchen, re-set the alarm. She ate came and got on the foot of the bed and slept until I got up about 8:00, she had been asleep in her chair since 8:00 PM the night before. She came in a little bit ago with a bunch of fresh pine sap all down one back leg... great. She went back out but I'm sure she is waiting out back to come back in. I think I'll clip the hair. She smells like Christmas. Anyone who does not like cats has never had one. BTW, I always thought that DST was so that crops would get an extra hour of sunlight so they would grow faster... hmmm. I also heard last week that the world is NOT flat! I am going to have to join a different society I guess. J

Between the 6 of them? The newly adopted has some issue we're working on. She was the runt of the littler, so she's very shy and nervous. First night she climbed in bed with us, started purring. Then peed. On the comforter, which was on us. :/ And then again the next night. And we thought she was ok but she did it again a couple of days ago. So that one doesn't get to come in our room anymore until we see the vet w/ her next week. The other youngest one is 8 months, and between him and his brother of 18 months and sister of 2 years, we have our hands full. You can actually hear them as soon as we turn off the lamp on the night stand - it's like a deflagration of paws, chasing each other, running into stuff, bumping in walls and doors, jumping on our bed. The 2 older ones are rather quiet at night though. They usually take their turn early in the morning. (Since we go to bed around 3 or 4, early morning for us/them is like 9 or 10). But all in all - I wouldn't have it any other way. :)
