Once you see them you might think you're already on something.  Pics do them no justice. Once they get moving the lights are DYNAMIC, changing by the nanosecond. Sometimes they'll be from one end of the horizon to the other making it impossible to take it all in. A 10-15 second exposure only catches a blurred glimps of what was there, in most cases.

I had some gym shoes in high school that glowed green like that.
Actually, I have thus far never been able to get North enough to get a good visual on those - they are beautiful, and your pictures are AMAZING.

When I saw them from Denver, I was struck by the drama of the motion, and it was all in the Northern sky. It must have been mind blowing directly over head. Awesome shots!

Interestingly, you could also see the exact same show if you wanted to travel to the Antarctic. Research has proven that an exact mirror of what you see in the North appears down there too.
