Weird issue (bug) with splitting clips

I'm encounering an intermittent problem splitting clips.

Occasionally, and always after editing for a while, all the split clips options stop working. ALT+click, nope. S, nope. Menu method, nope.

If I save the file, close SONAR, tnen re-open SONAR and the file, splitting works normally.

Has anyone else seen this?

Yes, but it's very rare for me so I've never been able to figure out how to reproduce it. As you said, it only happens after doing a lot of editing, and the solution I have is the same as yours.

That happens to me fairly often and I posted that issue a while back on this forum.  Have not found a solution yet other than rebooting.

I probably should have searched before posting.

Now if I could find somebody else who gets audio dropouts when moving from clip to clip while speed comping. Again, only after a while.

Try increasing  the DropoutMSec variable in Preferences > Audio > Configuration File. To see the Configuration File option make sure the Advanced radio button at the bottom of the Preferences UI is selected. Read about the variable here http://www.cakewalk.com/D...;help=INI_Files.6.html

Worse than that splitting bug (which happens to me fairly frequently) is one where if you insert time in your project, your splits continue to work but are not occurring at your cursor. I need to look into the steps for reproduction but that can seriously mess with your project before you figure out what's happening, especially if you zoom in to split.

Thanks, scook. I've got that at 500 msec now, up from 250 msec. I'll try 1000 msec.
