Staying Power II

Long-time (but infrequent) forum participant here.  Released a new album a few months ago that has been getting some good feedback, this song in particular: https://smaltmine.bandcamp.com/track/staying-power-ii

I did all the recording and mastering in Sonar Producer X2.

Cheers all.

Very nice. Good melodies and well played and sung. Mix sounded balanced.

Lots of cool interesting elements in this however it was aurally confusing for my furry ears because it sounded so narrow.

Thanks for the comments guys - this is the only song on the album I didn't actually mix (though I did master it, so if their are spacial issues that could totally be on me...the deeper you go into mastering the deeper it gets) so I might have done a few things differently, but overall was really happy.  Plus it was a blast collaborating and not having to obsess over every detail myself.

I really really enjoyed this tune....love the vox and overall feel. It's something I could listen to over and over again. With that said I think the mix leaves a lot of room for improvement IMHO. Sorry to say I am a touchy-feely guy when it comes to mixing so I cannot go point my point what twaeks I'd make but if you ever feel you want to head an alt mix just email me at thepogue at yahoo.

Thanks for the offer poguester - this one's published so I'm letting it be, but I'll definitely keep that in mind for the future.  I've got 3 albums in various stages of production at the moment, so there's plenty of possibilities...
