Monkey Man - new Kicksville track
howdy y'all - Here's this week's release: http://kicksville.bandcamp.com/track/monkey-man Our cover of the classic Toots And The Maytals song (with a big nod to The Specials' version) has been in our live show for years, so we figured it was about time we did a studio version.... It's totally tongue-in-cheek, and the recording is pretty much live in the studio - this isn't the kind of song to nit-pick fiddly little details and overdub to death  Same thing with the mix, too...I tried to keep the vibe we get when we play it live. That was fun! And yeah, nice playing... The bass rocks.  Overall it reminds me a little of Todd Rundgren.
