Just when you're about to hate all young people

I was walking in the park today when a distraught middle aged woman runs up and says she lost her fanny-pack. Not only her I.D. and credit cards but also her rent money in cash.

Just then a young man (I'd say late teens) walks up and begins talking to the lady. Asking her a few questions and then walks back to his car and takes out the fanny pack.

He had been looking for the owner all over the park and was just about to take the fanny-pack to the police station when he overheard our conversation.

Refused any reward.
Nice way to start the day. :)

A small glimmer of hope?  Cool story. 

As my French teacher used to say: the exception confirms the rule - I still hate people! ;)

Don't be fooled! You do know they can turn from darlings to sadistic demons in a split second.
And todays world and how it has changed us parents doesn't make it easy to raise decent offspring.
Well, seriously, that kind of incidents really make you feel more confident about the future, and you hope your own kids perform like that when you're not watching.
 
In the far past, the sixties, Helsinki was billed as the city where you can drop your wallet in the central railway station and come and pick it the next day. And, actually, that's only a little bit exaggerating. Go try that today :o)
